and Bridge Hall of Fame
There is a museum in Mississippi that is known around the world for its bridge-related artifacts. The first thing that generally comes to mind when considering bridge(s) is to relate it to a structure that connects one pathway with another and is used for travel and transport. One might be surprised to learn that the American Contract Bridge League Museum celebrates the history of the game of bridge. Located 20 minutes outside Memphis, Tennessee, Horn Lake has been its home since 2010. A trip to the museum enlightens visitors with photos, art, national championship trophies “that must be seen to be believed,” videos, instructional material, and interactive technology that recognizes names and championships from around the world. The Bridge Hall of Fame was started by Bridge World Magazine in 1964. The Hall of Fame is inside the museum and includes photos of top-named individuals and their biographies. The preserved Joan Schepps Collection of Trump Indicators includes 600 colorful pieces, the Blackwood Award, and the von Zedtwitz Awardees (showcasing past winners). The Albert H. Morehead Memorial Library is also located inside the museum.
